King Boranel wants you … to join the Sharn City Watch.

Crime and corruption have always run rampant in Breland, and the cities are filthy pits of iniquity and vice. In the wake of the Treaty of Thronehold, many thought that things would get better. They were wrong. Shifting the economy off of a wartime footing has caused a financial collapse while the mass demobilization of frontline troops has lead to the formation of angry bands of jobless and desperate men with no skills other than their military training. Merchants struggle to pay their bills despite the fact that few potential customers have the coin to afford their wares while the city slums surge with refugees and the sweltering humidity of mid-summer causes tempers to flare.

Desperate to deal with the situation before it gets out of hand (and his political overseers place the blame on him), Lord Commander Iyan ir’Talan has set out to supplement the standard City Watch forces with elite tactical groups outside of the normal chain of command. These units neither patrol the streets nor investigate crime scenes; they exist solely as backup to standard patrols entering into nonstandard situations.

The campaign will meet Monday evenings after 6 p.m. and will use the 4th edition D&D rules and the Eberron Campaign setting. Characters are starting at first level and will be members of an experimental unit within the Sharn City Watch
